Slab Quilts

The Elmira Needle Sister's Guild accepted the challenge to make Slab Quilts for Ronald McDonald House as part of the Canadian Quilter's 150th anniversary project. Each member was requested to make one block for a group quilt using a piece or several pieces of Canadian Flag fabric. These quilts or pieced tops will be displayed at the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church during the festival.

2017 Trunk Show

The 2017 Trunk Show will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Thursday May 25 at 2:30 or 7:30. Audrey Vrooman, a talented, eclectic quilt maker will be sure to entertain with her interesting selection of quilts. Tickets will be available at the door. Thanks to the village merchants the door prizes are amazing.

Marble Quilt

Coming soon! The St.Jacobs Quilt Board has commissioned a ,'Marble Art Quilt' to be built in the village of St. Jacobs. Ella Brubacher designed the quilt featuring several pin wheels.

This exciting art piece will please tourists.

Ailsa Craig

The  2017 Ailsa Craig Quilt Show  has been cancelled. Welcome to the Quilt and Fibre Art Festival Waterloo Region and Beyond which is held the same week in the village of St. Jacobs. Mark your calendar- May 23-27, 2017.

Guest Artist

Diane Carson from Exeter is the guest artist at The Schoolhouse Theatre, May 23-27, 2017. Her prize winning quilt entitled, 'Saltwater Pearls' is featured on the cover of the Canadian Quilter Magazine, winter 2017 issue. Diane, a long arm quilter used her artist skills to sew a different design in each pearl. This quilt must be seen up close to be appreciated.
